Today I’m an ESFJ

Many years ago in college I took an abbreviated version of the Myers Briggs personality assessment. I remember the results showing that I was extremely extroverted compared to my classmates and friends. Not so much anymore. I was still an E, but barely. According the online test my colleagues and I took, I slipped onto the E side of the fence by a mere 1 percent. I’m ok with that. My husband is an Introvert and I think we’ve both moved a little closer to center after nearly 15 years together.

What I did find fascinating was the high percentage (89%) of my J. Yes, I do like order, but I’m not a terribly organized person. Yes, I do like structure, but I see the value of being flexible. Yes, I do like control… hmmm… upon further consideration, maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised.

It was a nice exercise for our teams to do and fun to see how we all think, work and approach situations differently. And in some cases, similarly.
